Enrolment for The Quiet Way has now closed while I take time out for pregnancy and motherhood. In the meantime check out some of my favourite resources that can help you.

Imagine marketing and growing your seedling business in a way that feels authentic, in line with your strengths, and true to your quiet dreamy nature.

In The Quiet Way you’ll discover how to work with your need for solitude and calm so that rather than being an obstacle that holds you back and stresses you out, it becomes fuel to help both you and your business thrive.

Do you ever feel..?

  • Uncomfortable and out of your comfort zone when marketing and selling yourself?
  • Exhausted by the sheer volume of business and marketing advice that screams for your attention (lots of which seems to go completely against the grain of who you are)?
  • Jittery and tired at the mere thought of going to a huge networking event?
  • Overwhelmed by the huge amount of tasks on your never-ending ‘to do’ list?
  • So drained of energy that you wish you could just climb into a dark hole for some peace and quiet?

If you found yourself nodding to any of the above, then guess what? You aren’t on your own.

Early on in my start-up journey I soon learned that the business and marketing advice that is so often preached, simply didn’t work for me.

Unlike many of my extrovert counterparts who wanted to get ‘out and about’, I had no desire to attend enormous ‘elevator pitch’ networking events, present to large audiences, or be interviewed on live radio to raise awareness about what I did.

Instead I wanted to build my business in a way that made my heart sing and my energy soar.

Where I could find space to breathe and moments alone.

And ultimately, where I could ditch the extrovert mask that I’d been encouraged to wear so I could use my innate strengths as the driving force.

I bought The Quiet Way to help me promote my business in a way that feels real to me. As soon as I started reading the course I thought ‘this is someone who gets what it is like to be me’, it’s like Kathryn could see inside my head – and she talks about business and marketing in a way that feels so much more relevant to me than ANY of the other business (including creative business) literature I’ve read (…and I’ve really read a lot!).

The steps and ideas in the course feel like something I can follow-through with – and it’s something I will be coming back to regularly in the coming months as I continue to build my business. It’s fantastic to have so much useful information on hand that I can dip into and follow at my own pace.

Chris Guillebeau_opt copyI’ve been loving The Quiet Way course! I didn’t expect there to be so much in it, so I am truly grateful for your offering and all that you’ve shared. I’m finding it to be inspiring and comforting at the same time. There’s just the right mix of helpful directive and “don’t worry, I know how you feel” statements.

I love the many tips, tricks and links that you’ve given…..its great and I’m finding it extremely helpful as a newcomer to online business. I’d happily recommend it to anyone. Once again, thank you.

How can The Quiet Way help you?

Unlike the age-old advice that encourages you to ‘learn’ to be more extroverted, The Quiet Way is all about embracing and working with your natural-born strengths and doing things in a way that feels right for you.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Market yourself and grow your business in a way that feels authentic and exciting rather than daunting and tiring
  • Gently build confidence in who you are and what you can do (without throwing yourself into the scary deep end)
  • Work to your in-built strengths so you can find your ‘flow’ and grow your business to the tune of who you are
  • Find that all-important space to breathe and time to reflect without compromising the success of your business
  • Create a balance that leaves you energised and fulfilled rather than drained and overwhelmed

And the best part? You can do all this from the quiet sanctuary of your home at a pace that suits you.

Chris Guillebeau_opt copyIt can be isolating as an introverted business owner. We face unique fears and challenges to build businesses that thrive in a noisy world.

The Business of Introverts community has given me a safe little sanctuary to turn to for support, inspiration and advice from fellow quiet types.

Chris Guillebeau_opt copyI wanted to write and let you know how much The Business of Introverts and specifically your course has helped me to re-invent my own business and help me through a dark and difficult patch where it felt like I was not getting anywhere…

Your website and course have opened my eyes to a new way of things and most importantly have encouraged me to keep thinking, to keep creating and to work with my strengths…

Everything was delivered with your gentleness, empathy, encouragement and experience. It was immensely supportive and inspiring at the same time. I have kept all the e-mails and will be returning to them on a regular basis… Heartfelt thanks.

Who is this for?

I’ve created The Quiet Way for introverts who want to stay true to their quiet side while building a business that does a whole lot more than just pay the bills.

The course will help you if you:

  • Have a business idea in place but aren’t sure how to actually promote and make money from it – because we all know it’s nice to live on more than just baked beans
  • Feel a bit clueless as to how to gain a strong customer base and stand out from the crowd (without knocking on doors or going to huge networking events – which quite frankly is my worst nightmare).
  • Aren’t sure how to manage all the different elements of your business without completely and utterly exhausting yourself.
  • Want to run your business in a way that allows time for those precious quiet moments where you can breathe, rest, think and take stock.

Whether you are just at the stage of developing your seedling idea or have already launched but are looking for inspiration and guidance to build up your followers and deal with the challenges of running a business as an introvert, then this course can help you.

How does it work?

The Quiet Way is a home-study course that you can work through at your own pace from the quiet sanctuary of your home.

Once signed up, the materials will arrive to you via email as a 300 page central guide that you can download, keep forever, and return to again and again in the future.

Within the guide you can expect to find in-depth guidance, step-by-step exercises, a guided audio, examples of success stories, practical tips and a toolbox of strategies to help you overcome the challenges, create change, grow your business and care for your quiet side while you’re at it.

Print the guide off if you choose to, scribble on it, dip in and out, get inspired, learn from it, and return to it again and again whenever you need a reminder for how to do things the quiet way.

I think your advice for fellow introverts is fantastic and inspiring. Everything you write certainly rings true for me – it’s a real breath of fresh air. As such, I decided to take my blog to the next level to see where it gets me, so thank you for the confidence boost!

In my eyes, Kathryn handles and supports the issues of introversion within business with kid gloves, while at the same time bolstering and encouraging us all, on every step of our business journey.

It is most CERTAINLY the home for quiet types with big dreams, and a wonderful asset to gentle and courageous business people. I can see myself dipping in and out of TBOI for years to come.

What does this course cover?

The main topics that you will cover in this course include:

1. Finding your inner strength

Whoever you are, building a successful business is highly reliant on having a positive ‘can-do’ mindset.

Within this section I’ll teach you how to deal with overwhelm, gently ease out the boundaries of your comfort zone, find the courage to put yourself out there, and care for yourself while you’re at it.

You’ll also find a pre-recorded guided meditation in this section to help calm your mind on those days you need it.

2. Getting online

Making the most of online marketing is where you are most likely to be successful and consequently having a central website that you can direct people to is really important so they can learn more about what you do.

Within this section I’ll show you how to shape your website so it works for you (rather than baffling and overwhelming your audience).

3. Laying the foundations

When it comes to business, getting the basics of marketing right is the part that so many people miss out.

I’ll teach you how to stand out from the crowd, get clear on your ideal customer, and engage with your market so they feel an instant rapport.

This is important stuff so don’t miss it!

4. Building a tribe that buys

With so many businesses, websites and blogs out there, simply setting yourself up and hoping people will find you just doesn’t work (no matter how good you are at what you do!).

Within this section I’ll teach you lots of introvert-friendly techniques that will lead people to your door and get them buying once they reach you.

5. Meeting your people

Unless you’re providing purely passive online products, the likelihood is that you’ll need to meet either face-to-face or via Skype now and again with potential clients, current customers or fellow business owners.

Within this section of the course I’ll share tips for how you can deal with clients and other contacts without becoming overwhelmed and stressed.

6. Creating space to breathe

As your business grows, so too will the demands on your time and energy which can easily become exhausting.

I’ll introduce you to a variety of strategies and tips to help you shape and manage your business, run things more efficiently, protect your energy levels and ensure that you find the quiet time you need.

Chris Guillebeau_opt copyI love the Business of Introverts – it’s a place to find calm encouragement, inspiration and useful advice.

Reading Kathryn’s blog posts and course emails have made me realize that being an introvert is not a barrier to running a successful business.

Thanks Kathryn for sharing your story and creating this wonderful community!

Who am I?

Me

My name’s Kathryn Hall and I’m the founder of The Business of Introverts, an avid writer and mentor to quiet types across the globe who want more freedom, solitude and creativity in their work.

As a self-confessed dreamer (who also happens to be super organised!) I’m big on helping people embrace their introversion in all its glory, while creating a business they love.

After spending years feeling shy, out of place, and unsatisfied by all the many exhausting jobs that I found myself in, 2011 was the year that I embarked on an exciting journey of self-discovery and positive change to embrace my introversion, listen to my heart and create a business and life that fulfills me.

Since then I have worked out what makes me tick, used my experience as a virtual assistant, business owner and careers coach to launch The Business of Introverts, been featured on countless websites including: The Guardian, The Female Entrepreneur Association and Tiny Buddha, and ultimately found the freedom, choice and sense of purpose that I always desired.

It’s the best move I could ever have made and I’ve never been happier. Which is why I’ve written this course – because I want to help you do the same.

Being your own boss is not just for the loud, outgoing, extroverts of this world. Across the lands introverts are quietly creating wonderful lives for themselves and doing it in a way that feels right for them.

Think of The Quiet Way as a gentle but powerful alternative to the extrovert ideals of business…

One where you can grow and flourish in a way that feels authentic and stress-free…

Where you can find the peace, space and clarity you need to move onwards and upwards…

And ultimately, where you can care for every inch of who you are as you travel the exciting and empowering journey of building a business, finding your freedom, and creating a life that you love.

Chris Guillebeau_opt copyWhat attracted me most to Kathryn Hall’s course was that it promised a peep into her world as an introverted entrepreneur.

She dares to be vulnerable and share some of her true feelings and personal experiences, yet frames them as a journey with positive ways of coping that are suitable for sensitive, creative souls – this has made me feel less alone and has really made a difference to me this past month… Thank you Kathryn with all my heart.

Tomer Rosen Grace, Tomer’s Fountain

Chris Guillebeau_opt copyI love Kathryn’s calm manner. This comes across beautifully in her writing which is informative too.

Every time I go to the The Business of Introverts website I feel myself relax. I’m new to running my own business and I’ve found it great to have such a lovely role model to look to.

Andrea Jordan, Learn, Discover, Be Free

Chris Guillebeau_opt copyI would highly recommend Kathryn’s course to anyone who would love to build a business, but who feels uncomfortable with the so-called ‘traditional’ methods. It makes you feel you are on the right path and it is ok to be a quiet achiever.
